Welcome to ZIBO LONGSHINE
The straight bore sandblasting nozzle is a sandblasting tool with a simple structure and wide application. Usually made of Boron Carbide, Tungsten Carbide or Silicon Carbide.
Characteristics
1. Structural Design
The internal structure only includes a convergent section and a straight section (no divergent section), and the external shape is a cylindrical straight tube. This structure simplifies the manufacturing process and reduces costs. However, it cannot completely eliminate the eddy current phenomenon at the inlet end, resulting in large pressure loss and a relatively low abrasive outlet velocity (approximately 97 m/s under a pressure of 0.7 MPa).
2. Performance Features
Low-flow concentrated jetting: Abrasives are concentrated in the central area, making it suitable for small-area, high-precision processing, but the effective cleaning width is narrow.
Low efficiency and high wear: Compared with Venturi nozzles, its working efficiency is 15%-40% lower, and abrasive consumption is 20% higher. However, it is suitable for cost-sensitive scenarios.
Significant service life variation: Wear resistance depends on the material. Ordinary carbon steel nozzles have a short service life (about 50-100 hours), while boron carbide nozzles can have a service life of over 3000 hours. We mainly supply boron carbide nozzles and tungsten carbide nozzles.
3. Operational Compatibility
It is generally compatible with ordinary-pressure sandblasting guns and suitable for small sandblasting equipment. It has low requirements for compressed air pressure (usually 0.4-0.6 MPa).
Applications
1. Industrial Surface Treatment
Precision cleaning: Removal of welding slag and burrs from welded surfaces, and local rust removal from gratings and handrails.
Pretreatment strengthening: Surface roughening before electroplating or spraying to improve coating adhesion.
Mold cleaning: Removal of residues from precision molds such as rubber molds and glass molds.
2. Art and Decoration Field
Glass processing: Sandblasting carving or atomization treatment of lighting glass and curtain wall glass.
Metal art: Sandblasting patterns on the surfaces of stainless steel and aluminum alloy to create matte or three-dimensional effects.
3. Special-Scenario Applications
Pipeline inner wall cleaning: Used with angled nozzles (e.g., 45° elbows) to clean narrow spaces, such as the back of flanges and the inner surfaces of steel pipes.
Medical equipment maintenance: Surface cleaning and disinfection of dental instruments and surgical tools.

Selection Recommendations
Based on processing requirements: For small-area precision processing, select carbon steel nozzles with an inner diameter of 5-6mm; for large-area rust removal, select boron carbide nozzles with an inner diameter of 8-10mm.
Based on material service life: For long-term and high-frequency use, prioritize boron carbide and tungsten carbide nozzles; for short-term temporary operations, silicon carbide nozzles can be selected.
Based on equipment compatibility: Straight-bore nozzles are compatible with ordinary-pressure sandblasting guns; for high-pressure equipment, it is recommended to match them with Venturi nozzles to improve efficiency.
With its simple structure and controllable cost, the straight-bore sandblasting nozzle plays an important role in small and medium-sized sandblasting operations, and is particularly suitable for scenarios requiring high precision and limited processing areas.
